Program & Itinerary

Day 1 – Wednesday 16th September, 2009

Arrivals – Delegates to arrange own flights to Hobart

Airport to Hotel Transfers – delegates to make own way to Hotel Grand Chancellor.

Check in and registration – Check into Hotel Grand Chancellor and register for conference collecting conference pack and name badge.

Welcome Function – Enjoy some fine food, drinks and entertainment at Mawson Place on the Hobart Waterfront

Accommodation – Hotel Grand Chancellor

Day 2 – Thursday 17th September, 2009

Business Breakfast – The business part of the conference will kick off with a business breakfast in the Harbour View Room, the official conference opening and a keynote address from a prominent Tasmanian.

Full day Conference – The conference continues with presentations and workshops in the Grand Ballroom inclusive of morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Evening - Dinner at Cascade Brewery – This evening starts with a short transfer to the historic Cascade Brewery where delegates will enjoy a tour followed by dinner and entertainment in the Degraves Room overlooking the beautiful Heritage Gardens.

You will have the opportunity to experience the brews that Cascade are famous for as you enjoy some fine Tasmanian fare.

Day 3 – Friday 18th September, 2009

Breakfast – at leisure in the Restaurant Tasman.

ACAPMA AGM – in Grand Ballroom

Conference session – conference session in Grand Ballroom.

Conference Close and Lunch – The business sessions will finish with a lunch in the Harbour View Room including a keynote address followed by a conference wrap up and close

Evening - Gala Dinner at Peppermint Bay

– Now the business is over its time to enjoy a celebratory dinner at one Tasmania’s most stunning locations.  

Few venues in the world rival the spectacular setting of Peppermint Bay, Tasmania. Architecturally stunning, with breath taking water views across the magnificent D'Entrecasteaux Channel and islands, Peppermint Bay has emerged as Tasmania’s premier venues.

Day 4 – Saturday 19th September, 2009

Breakfast – at leisure in the Restaurant Tasman.

Departures or extensions – delegates can choose to depart for home, extend for a night in Hobart or discover Tasmania further with an extension tour option from Tas vacations.

Salamanca Markets – depending on flight departure times, you may have the opportunity to visit the famous Salamanca Markets that take place each Saturday between 8.30am and 3.00pm. Salamanca Markets are walking distance from the Hotel Grand Chancellor.
